LeBron James to Make Decision on ESPN Posted: 08 Jul 2010 03:43 AM PDT Everyone wants to know which team LeBron James will decide to join. On Thursday, we will hear from the King himself. At 9 p.m. ET, LeBron will host a sixty minute special on ESPN where he will announce where he intends to sign. NBA fans from across the globe will tune in to see the answer to the NBA’s ultimate question. There are three teams who are the likeliest: the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and New York Knicks. LeBron re-signing with the Cavs is a definite possibility. He’s had success in Cleveland, he’s from Ohio and the Cavs have shown that they will bend backwards to provide him with the needed tools to win. In Miami, LeBron would be joining Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, who both announced on Wednesday that they will be signing with the Heat. If this is where LeBron decides to sign, he’ll form a threesome unlike any threesome in NBA history. An NBA championship would be all but guaranteed. The downtrodden Knicks would be a reclamation project for LeBron. New York has been thirsting for a winner for more than a decade. With Amare Stoudemire already on board, LeBron would come in and try to save basketball in the world’s largets market. Where will he sign? All along, I thought he’d re-sign with the Cavs. However, now that LeBron is making this big spectacle on ESPN, I’m starting to think the bright lights of New York may be too much for him to resist. I now expect LeBron James to sign with the Knicks. Post from: EveryJoe |
World Cup Finals: Spain vs. Holland Posted: 08 Jul 2010 02:58 AM PDT At the conclusion of the 2010 World Cup, one thing is for certain: we’ll have a new champion. With Spain and Holland advancing to the finals, one of the two European countries is going to experience the elation of a World Cup title for the first time. ![]() Image: FIFA Both Spain and Holland have had a reputation of not being able to close the deal. Spain has been notorious for choking at the worst possible times, while Holland has had the skill but could never put it all together. Now, after this World Cup run, Spain and Holland have the respect of soccer fans the world over. Spain plays a beautiful brand of soccer that relies on strict plans. With possession, Spain shares the ball and attacks smartly and with precision. Defensively, they are stout. Spain is very good at playing in close contests and staying disciplined for the duration of the game. In recent games, Holland has been a second half monster. They came back to stun Brazil after trailing at halftime. Against Uruguay, they turned rabid in the second half to take a 3-1 lead on a barrage of shots on goal. Who will win the World Cup? Expect Holland to be more aggressive and look to overpower Spain. However, Spain will keep it close and either eke out a 1-0 or 2-1 victory Post from: EveryJoe |
Posted: 08 Jul 2010 01:55 AM PDT On Wednesday, Kim Kardashian got her eyebrows plucked at Anastacia Salon in Los Angeles…do we really need to know this? Or see it? I’m all for the paparazzi following around hot chicks like Kim. But I don’t need to see their every move – particularly their grooming habits. ![]() Image: WENN.com ![]() Image: WENN.com What’s next? We’ll get to see Kim Kardashian with her legs spread getting a bikini wax? Hmm…wait…that might not be bad. Post from: EveryJoe |
Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh Land in Miami Posted: 07 Jul 2010 09:44 PM PDT The Miami Heat gutted virtually their entire team in an effort to retool this summer in free agency. Their plan was risky — but it has already paid off. Not only did Dwyane Wade decide to re-sign with the Heat, the franchise was also able to successfully woo Chris Bosh to Miami. Bosh, the superstar power forward who began his career with the Toronto Raptors, will get a maximum contract with the Heat. Wade wanted another superstar on the Heat and played a big part in getting Bosh to sign. The combination of Wade and Bosh has as much potential as any duo in the NBA. Perhaps only Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol of the Los Angeles Lakers can compare. After signing Wade and Bosh, the Heat will only have a total of four players under contract: Wade, Bosh, Michael Beasley and Mario Chalmers. With only approximately $10 million more to spend under the salary cap, the Heat will have a challenge to fill out the rest of their roster. That said, Miami will gladly take on that challenge knowing it has two superstars already in the bag. Wade really considered signing with his hometown team, the Chicago Bulls. Bosh was courting by a number of teams including the Bulls, New Jersey Nets and the New York Knicks. When it was all said and done, however, Wade and Bosh decided to join forces and play for the Heat. Post from: EveryJoe |
