Posted: 14 Jul 2010 08:59 PM PDT If you are one of the many, many people who didn’t watch the ESPYs, just know that Drew Brees dominated the show. The New Orleans Saints quarterback took home four ESPYs to continue a 2010 that has been extremely kind. It was once thought that a shoulder injury may have ended his career. Now Brees is perhaps the most loved American athlete. At the ESPYs, Brees won trophies for Male Athlete of the Year, Best Championship Performance, NFL Player of the Year and Top Team of the Year. Other winners included Lindsey Vonn (Best Female Athlete), Landon Donovan (Best Moment), Kobe Bryant (Best NBA Player), Albert Pujols (Best Baseball Player) and Sidney Crosby (Best NHL Player). The funniest moment of the show was when actors Paul Rudd and Steve Carell made fun of LeBron James and his “Decision” television debacle. After much build up, Carell announced to the world that he was going to shun Chili’s and instead eat dinner at Outback. Here’s the ESPYs video making fun of LeBron James: Post from: EveryJoe |
Ron Artest Hosting Fcuk LeBron Party Posted: 14 Jul 2010 08:57 PM PDT A couple months ago, Ron Artest was known as that crazy guy who sometimes plays basketball. But after he helped lead the Los Angeles Lakers to an NBA championship, Ron Artest is getting much love around the country and everyone wants to party with him. His latest party is getting headlines: a “Fcuk LeBron” party. The “Fcuk LeBron” is obviously aimed at LeBron James, who pissed off many when he went on national television to stab his home state in the heart. That day, LeBron James became a villain among NBA fans — and apparently NBA players as well. Here’s a look at the flyer promoting the “Fcuk LeBron” party: If you want to go to the “Fcuk LeBron” party, it is this Friday. Ladies are free and there is an open bar until midnight. Rumor also has it that any Cleveland resident will get to play Pin The Tail on the Traitor. Post from: EveryJoe |
Posted: 14 Jul 2010 08:02 PM PDT Heading into this summer, NBA owners were whining about losing money in the tough American economy. However, those same owners started throwing around ungodly amounts of money to average players. $32 million for Drew Gooden? $32 million for Amir Johnson? $20 million for Darko Milicic? $18 million for Hakim Warrick? That’s a total of $102 million four players who pretty much suck. Amazing. On the other side of the court, here are the top five best buys in NBA free agency so far: 5. Randy Foye, Los Angeles Clippers (two years, $8 million) 4. Ian Mahinmi, Dallas Mavericks (one year, minimum) 3. Anthony Morrow, New Jersey Nets (three years, $12 million) 2. Ben Wallace, Detroit Pistons (two years, $4 million) 1. LeBron James, Miami Heat (six years, $110 million) Post from: EveryJoe |
Video of the Week: Star Wars Subway Car Posted: 14 Jul 2010 05:23 PM PDT Everyone is talking about the Star Wars Subway Car video from ImprovEverywhere. They spread out the actors along the train line, staging it so they would enter the right car at the right time. Check it out. Even if you aren’t a Star Wars fan, it’s amusing. Post from: EveryJoe |
