Cedric Benson Arrested ... Again

Posted: 29 Jun 2010 08:55 PM PDT

Cedric Benson revived his NFL career last season with the Cincinnati Bengals by running hard and avoid tacklers. On Tuesday, Benson put his career back in jeopardy after not being able to avoid the long arm of the law. The running back was arrested in Austin, Texas for misdemeanor assault. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is sure to suspend Benson for this latest brush with the law.

While at the University of Texas, Benson was charged with criminal trespassing. Once he got to the NFL, he failed to live up to expectations with the Chicago Bears. The Bears decided to release Benson in 2008 after he was arrested twice in the same month for alcohol-related charges.

The details of Tuesday’s arrest are still unfolding. Reports indicate that Benson hit someone who works at a bar after being thrown out of said bar. Benson reportedly was mad because “all these white boys are ganging up on me and kicking me out.”

Since Benson is a repeat offender, expect Goodell to be harsh with his punishment. My prediction? Probably a two-game suspension … with a possibility of up to four games.

Larry King Live to End

Posted: 29 Jun 2010 08:54 PM PDT

Larry King Live has been a staple for the last 25 years. Known for divorcing gal pals by the dozen, Larry King is now divorcing his show. According to King, he asked CNN to end the show and CNN accepted. The Guinness Book of World Records says Larry King Live set the record for having the longest running show in the same time slot with the same host.

The 76-year-old King was born Lawrence Harvey Zeiger in Brooklyn, New York. Before landing his gig with CNN, he held numerous radio and TV jobs. He rose to fame in 1978 as an all-night broadcaster. In 1985, Larry King Live was born. At some point in the fall, Larry King Live will die.

For Larry King fans out there — don’t worry, he’ll still be on the air. He reportedly signed a new deal with CNN to do specials. According to King, he was just tired of the nightly grind. The will be “giving me more time for my wife and I to get to the kids' little league games.”

The biggest question mark rising from this news is with CNN. The network always had Larry King to fall back on, no matter what was going on. With the death of the Larry King Show, will CNN find a suitable replacement?

Paul Pierce and Dirk Nowitzki Opt Out

Posted: 29 Jun 2010 08:05 PM PDT

The 2010 NBA free agent class is headlined by LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. You can now add two more superstars to the list: Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics and Dirk Nowitzki of the Dallas Mavericks. Both players opted out of the last years of their contract to become free agents. While not a shock, the news wasn’t a slam dunk, either.

Pierce was due $21.5 million next season. After helping the Celtics come within one game of an NBA championship, Pierce obviously believes he can cash in. Boston can re-sign Pierce to a deal worth up to $96 million over four seasons. Though most league pundits expect Pierce to stay, if another team throws a huge offer at him, sources close the Celtics believe that general manager Danny Ainge could let Pierce walk.

Nowitzki, on the other hand, is considered a near lock to rejoin the Mavs. Like Pierce, Nowitzki is turning down $21.5 million next season in hopes of landing a four-year, $96 million deal. Though Nowitzki back in Big D is very likely, one only has to think about when Steve Nash left the Mavs for the Suns for an example of when plans change during the summer.

Where will the 2010 NBA free agents sign? Check out our EveryJoe.com free agent predictions.

2010 NBA Free Agents -- Predictions

Posted: 28 Jun 2010 08:55 PM PDT

Alright, it’s time. The much anticipated 2010 NBA free agent signing period is about to begin. Later this week, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and the rest of the superstar free agents will begin the journey of figuring out where they will call their basketball home. Where do we think the players will end up? Here’s EveryJoe’s predictions for the 2010 NBA free agents:

LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you know that LeBron James is becoming a free agent. One day he’s a lock to go to the Chicago Bulls, the next day he’s a lock to go to the Miami Heat, the next day he’s a lock to go to the New Jersey Nets. However, when it’s all said and done, I believe that LeBron James will stay with the Cavs. He’ll sign a short contract and will give his team a couple more chances to bring home the elusive championship trophy.

Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat
Unlike LeBron James, there aren’t many rumors of Dwyane Wade leaving the Heat. Instead, Wade will be trying to recruit other big names to Miami. I see no reason why he’d leave the Heat this summer during free agency.

Chris Bosh, Chicago Bulls
Chris Bosh is the biggest star who is all but a certainty to leave his former team. In fact, the Toronto Raptors have just about given up hope to lure back their franchise player. All the teams with money in free agency will be going after Bosh. When it’s all said and done, I expect him to land in Chicago.

Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas Mavericks
NBA experts expect Dirk Nowitkzi to become a free agent — only to re-sign with the Dallas Mavericks. The move will save the Mavs money and will give Nowitzki a new four-year contract worth a ton of money.

Amare Stoudemire, New York Knicks
Indications out of Phoenix point to the Suns not willing to give Amare Stoudemire a max contract. The Knicks, on the other hand, will be waiting with open arms to give him a max deal. Miami and New Jersey are other contenders but the bright lights of NYC will be too much for Stoudemire to pass.

Amare Stoudemire will say goodbye to the Phoenix Suns (Image: Zuma Press)

Amare Stoudemire will say goodbye to the Phoenix Suns (Image: Zuma Press)

Joe Johnson, New York Knicks
After a rocky end to last season, Joe Johnson is on his way out of Atlanta. It appears as if the Knicks have made signing Johnson a top priority. I expect the Knicks to offer Johnson a max contract and for Johnson to sign on the dotted line.

Carlos Boozer, Miami Heat
The Heat need a superstar big to put next to Dwyane Wade. Carlos Boozer will be that man. The Jazz don’t have the money to re-sign him so Boozer will take his game to Miami.

David Lee, New Jersey Nets
The Nets have a ton of money to spend in free agency. They could land any of the above free agents but I think the most likely outcome has New Jersey inking a deal with David Lee. The good news for the current member of the Knicks is he won’t have to move far.

Rudy Gay, Chicago Bulls
The Bulls will go after bigger names but Rudy Gay won’t be a bad consolation prize. With Chris Bosh, Rudy Gay and Derrick Rose, the Bulls have a bright, bright future. Michael Jordan’s banners may have to make some room.

Paul Pierce, Boston Celtics
Ray Allen, Boston Celtics

Both Paul Pierce and Ray Allen are likely to hit the free agent market. While the Celtics could blow up their team and rebuild, I believe Boston will keep their nucleus together. Pierce, Allen, Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo will be looking to make a repeat trip to the NBA Finals in 2011.

Video: Joel Zumaya Blows Out Arm -- Career Over?

Posted: 28 Jun 2010 08:54 PM PDT

Joe Zumaya might be the hardest throwing pitcher baseball has ever seen. Search YouTube and you will find Joel Zumaya videos of the Detroit Tigers pitcher throwing as fast as 104 miles per hours. Sadly, we may never see Zumaya throw another pitch.

Against the Minnesota Twins on Monday, Zumaya suffered a gruesome elbow injury that left him in obvious pain. Here you can watch the video of Joel Zumaya blowing out his arm. It’s tough to watch, so be warned.

Joel Zumaya in pain after he blows out his arm

Zumaya has suffered from a number of injuries in the past but nothing like this. Players reported being able to hear a pop. If that was an elbow ligament popping, Zumaya faces an uphill climb back to Major League Baseball.

This is obviously horrible news for both Zumaya and the Tigers. The 25-year-old from California was having the best season of his career, posting a 2.58 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP. The Tigers haven’t yet indicated that Zumaya is at least out for the season but it’d be shocking to see him at any point this year — if ever.

MMA Fighter Dies in First Pro Match

Posted: 28 Jun 2010 08:50 PM PDT

Michael Kirkham, an MMA fighter making his professional debut, died after a match in Aiken, South Carolina on Saturday. The 6-foot-9 MMA fighter was transported to a hospital after the fight but died on Monday. Initial reports indicate that Kirkham died of a brain hemorrhage, although an autopsy will be conducted to verify.

The match took place at USC Aiken Convocation Center and the event was called “Confrontation at the Convocation Center”. As an amateur MMA fighter, Kirkham was 3-3. After being knocked out in his professional debut, Kirkham never regained consciousness.

While MMA deaths are rare, this death may spark more national criticism. Due to its barbaric nature, calls for banning MMA have been widespread over the years. There is now more fuel for that movement.

Kirkham had the nickname of “Tree” due to his imposing height. His MMA team was called the “Fayetteville Independents”.

Vince Neil Arrested for DUI

Posted: 28 Jun 2010 08:05 PM PDT

Motley Crue singer Vince Neil was arrested on Monday in Las Vegas for suspicion of DUI. He was released later in the day after posting $2,000 bail. This is not Neil’s first DUI case. As you might remember back 1984, he was charged with vehicular manslaughter and DUI in a crash that killed the passenger in his car – Hanoi Rocks drummer Nicholas “Razzle” Dingley. Neil served 20 days in jail, and paid $2.5 million in restitution.

Vince Neil

Vince Neil - Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department

Neil has a couple assault and battery charges on his record. In 2002, he was arrested for allegedly assaulting a music producer outside a club in Los Angeles. Just a year later, he was picked up again – this time for misdemeanor battery for attacking a prostitute at the famous Moonlight Bunny Ranch brothel.

Neil lives in Las Vegas with his fourth wife, Lia. He owns tattoo shops, a bar called Feelgoods Rock Bar and Grill, and the Vince Neil Tres Rios Cantina at the Las Vegas Hilton. He is currently promoting a solo CD called Tattoos and Tequila. Maybe he should put down the tequila a little more often.

TMZ has a photo of Vince drinking just hours before his latest DUI arrest at a Daytime Emmy Awards bash.

Best Exercises in the Pool

Posted: 28 Jun 2010 05:29 PM PDT

Summer is finally here. Time to break out the bathing suits and hit the pool. If you’ve put on some extra pounds since last summer, kill two birds with one stone by exercising in the pool. Before you know it you’ll be back in tip-top shape without any boring trips to the gym. Here are a few of the best exercises in the pool to get you started.

Swimming

Image: sxc.hu

Deep Knee Bends
On land, deep knee bends can be challenging. In the pool, however, deep knee bends are much easier. Even though it’s less challenging, the muscles in your legs and backside are still getting a good workout.

Jumping Jacks
For a good cardio workout you can do without moving around in the pool, try jumping jacks. The deeper the water, the more challenging the jumping jacks will become. Concentrate on having good form and use a consistent breathing pattern.

Walking
It sounds easy, right? But it’s not. Walk the length of the pool with one foot on the bottom of the pool at all times. Even when you are moving slowly, you’ll feel the burn.

Alternating Swim
Try the alternating swim technique. First, swim one length of the pool only using your legs. On the way back, only use your arms. For your third and fourth trips, alternate legs and arms again — but this time do it on your back! This technique is fun and a great workout.

Chris Henry Had Brain Damage Before Death

Posted: 28 Jun 2010 12:13 PM PDT

The pieces of the puzzle to Chris Henry’s death are starting to come together. The wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals, who died in December after falling out of the back of a pickup truck, had chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) — and that could explain the erratic behavior that led to his death.

Chris Henry

Image: Erik Eckel - Flickr

CTE is a type of brain damage that is caused by numerous blows to the head. A degenerative condition, CTE has been observed in a number of athletes who died in unusual manners. This type of brain damage cause memory loss, depression and even loss of the ability to control one’s impulses. In advanced cases, dementia may develop.

Henry’s fiance was driving the pickup truck when Henry either fell out or jumped out. Some witnesses have reportedly stated that Henry was threatening to jump shortly before he was found laying on the ground. Did CTE play a role?

Other athletes who have been found to have CTE include Justin Strzelczyk, Chris Benoit and Tom McHale. Strzelczyk died after a high-speed chase with police, Benoit killed himself after killing his wife and son, and McHale died of a drug overdose after a long fight with depression.

Refs Continue to Blow Calls at World Cup

Posted: 27 Jun 2010 08:23 PM PDT

The referees blew another call at the World Cup on Sunday. This time, it was during the match between England and Germany. WIth England trailing 2-1, a Frank Lampard shot from just outside the penalty area hit the crossbar and then bounced down. It had obviously cross the goal line. However, the referee Jorge Larrionda didn’t see it that way and didn’t award the goal.

After landing, the ball spun back to the German goal keeper Manuel Neuer. On the replay on television, it was an obvious goal, having crossed the line by several feet. It shouldn’t even have been a questionable call.

The goal would have tied the game at 2-2. However, who knows if it would have made a difference in the final outcome, as Germany came away with a 4-1 victory.

Following the England-Germany game, the Argentina-Mexico match kicked off and it wasn’t long before the controversy continued. Carlos Tevez scored on a short-range header midway through the first half to give Argentina a 1-0 lead. However when reviewing the replays, it showed Tevez was clearly offside.

Chris Brown Breaks Down During Jackson Tribute

Posted: 27 Jun 2010 08:12 PM PDT

At the BET Awards on Sunday, Chris Brown performed an emotional tribute to Michael Jackson. After keeping a low profile since beating up Rihanna, Brown was back in the spotlight. This time, it was almost like he embodied the King of Pop. He started out wearing a fedora, spangled glove and moonwalking to “Billie Jean.”

When he began singing “Man in the Mirror,” Brown broke down. His voice cracked as he was crying, and he couldn’t sing. At one point, he even crumpled onto the stage.

Other highlights of the show included T.I.’s first TV performance since being released from prison at the end of last year and El DeBarge turning back the clock performing hits such as “Rhythm of the Night.” Kanye West, Usher, Drake, B.o.B., Keyshia Cole, Eminem, Alicia Keys, and others also performed.

Trey Songz was named best male R&B artist. Jay-Z led nominees with five nominations, while Beyonce, Keys, Songz and Melanie Fiona had four nominations each.

Werdum Upsets Fedor in First Round

Posted: 26 Jun 2010 08:12 PM PDT

In a stunning upset, Fabricio Werdum defeated Fedor Emelianenko at the Strikeforce/M-1 Global show on Saturday. In a fight that most people thought would be an easy win for Fedor, Werdum came away victorious just 69 seconds into the main event.

Fedor knocked Werdum to the canvas just moments into the fight but followed the Brazilian to the ground and that was beginning of the end.

Fedor fought off an armbar and then was taken over by the Brazilian jiujitsu master’s legs in a triangle choke. Fedor was in an inescapable position when Werdum manipulated his left arm away from his body and began to hyperextend it with an armbar, causing Fedor to tapout for the first time in his legendary MMA career.

Ghana Ousts USA from World Cup

Posted: 26 Jun 2010 02:57 PM PDT

The U.S. soccer team’s run at the World Cup came to end on Saturday as they were defeated by Ghana 2-1 in overtime. Things weren’t looking good for the American team in the first half. Then down 1-0, Landon Donovan scored on a penalty kick in the 62nd minute to tie the game. However Asamoah Gyan came up with the winning goal for Ghana early in overtime.

Gyan outraced American defenders and took a long pass deep in the U.S. end of the field. Carlos Bocanegra was bumping Gyan from behind, but Gyan managed to hit the ball of his own chest and get off a shot as he hurdled over Jay DeMerit. The ball sailed over goalie Tim Howard, landed in the net and gave Gyan his third goal of the World Cup. Ghana will now advance to the quarterfinals to play Uruguay, while Team USA goes home.

This is the second World Cup in a row that the U.S. has been eliminated by Ghana by the same score. Ghana also knocked the U.S. out of the 2006 World Cup with a 2-1 victory in group play.

Check out the winning goal below.

Bottled Water, Schmottled Water - It’s All The Same, or Is It?

Posted: 26 Jun 2010 01:18 PM PDT

Bottled water isn't what you think it is. Here's some insight for your misconceptions.

You would figure after a good amount of consistent years, this bottled water market would cease to thrive, but, in actuality, it's just like an Energizer Bunny. It keeps going and going and going and going.

Bottled Water

Image: sxc.hu

You walk around New York City and it's almost like everyone is a ballet dancer or something. George Carlin said it best, "Ever wonder about those people who spend $2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward." – Naive is right.

The truth is, if you look closely on these labels, most of this bottled water is really just municipal water, and that is fancy talk for, pretty much, tap water.

Yes, folks. We are buying bottled water from some big company's tap. What's funny is, being municipal, people local to that area are paying that water bill, only to have these big companies stick it in bottles labeled with fancy-schmancy names like Aquafina (by Pepsi) and Dasani (by Coca-Cola). I wouldn't be too surprised at all if what they're actually selling you is the water they use to mix their tasty beverages, pre-carbonated and pre-flavored. FOR THE SAME PRICE OR MORE.

The purpose of drinking water is, well, your body needs it. Period. That being said, your drinking water should be these three things.

Purified, alkaline and electrically conductive!

Purified is pretty simple. Clean water is healthy water. You can get this kind of water, simply by using a water filter. Brita makes some really popular ones, though I try to stay away from the ones that have the flavor packs. It's just silly, and who knows what they put in there. Remember, we're PURIFYING water, meaning we're taking out all of its impurities. Let's not add some more.

Alkaline. You've heard the term, but what does it mean? It means, simply, the opposite of acidic. When you drink water that is higher on the alkaline side of the pH scale, it helps to neutralize stored acids and toxins in the body. It balances you. You can find balance like Mr. Miyagi showed The Karate Kid to, and fall off a boat into the cold water, or you can drink Alkaline water.

Electrically Conductive! What is that? It means that the water has a much higher amount of electrolytes. Well then, why not Gatorade? Because it is not water! Electrolytes are important because they help the body with its own organic internet. The Nervous System. The more electrically conductive your water is, the more it enables your system to conduct its data transfers and electrical sparks. This is also a good thing.

Don't be fooled by the more expensive waters. The companies know that some people will buy what's more expensive because they will automatically assume it is better, as is very quickly proven by Amedeo Modigliani and his $3,000+ bottles of water, which is not any different than Evian, Fiji or Icelandic Glacier waters.

Another very important factor here, when talking about water, is water that is rich in quality minerals, which is why deionized water is only good for very few things.

I have a friend with an Anaerobic Imbalance, which often has her feeling sluggish and excessively tired. She discovered that drinking a water called MetroElectro, by the makers of that minty stuff that's becoming all kinds of popular – MetroMint, has helped her very much.

So, mind your water. Do a little research and find out what actually works. Don't buy bottled water for the sake of convenience. Get what really is going to be beneficial for you. As for me, a stainless steel water bottle that I picked up from the local Whole Foods, and a Brita filter works great.

Worst Picks of the NBA Draft

Posted: 24 Jun 2010 08:48 PM PDT

The 2010 NBA Draft featured a lot of very interesting prospects. While the draft wasn’t deep in future superstars, it was deep and offered quality picks into the second round. However, a few teams made costly errors on draft night. Here’s a look at the worst draft picks of NBA draft.

Wes Johnson

Image: TSN

Wesley Johnson to the Minnesota Timberwolves
Johnson is a solid player who can become a good third option. But when you are drafting fourth overall, you need more than that. The T’Wolves should have drafted DeMarcus Cousins — a player with a much higher ceiling.

Ekpe Udoh to the Golden State Warriors
The Warriors are a mess. Drafting Ekpe Udoh sixth overall is yet another sign. Udoh is an energy big but he’s old, limited offensively and not a true difference maker. What were they thinking?

Greivis Vasquez to the Memphis Grizzlies
Though a very good college player, it is doubtful that Vasquez will see his game translate to the NBA level. He’s a slow point guard without a very good outside shot. Add in his mediocre passing ability and his uneven temper and there’s no way he should have gone in the first round.

Landry Fields to the New York Knicks
Even though he had a good senior season at Stanford, there’s no way Fields is an NBA player. He’s too slow for the small forward position and too weak for the power forward position. He’ll end up playing pro ball in Europe.

Ryan Reid to the Oklahoma City Thunder
Sam Presti is a very good general manager but he went overboard with this pick. Reid averaged 6.8 points at Florida State as a senior. Yes, only 6.8 points! Drafting such a player is just crazy.

Rangers Win Again, But Still Broke

Posted: 24 Jun 2010 08:39 PM PDT

The Texas Rangers are an interesting story this year. At 44-28, they have the second best record in the American League — only behind the New York Yankees. That’s impressive when you consider the turmoil surrounding the team. The current ownership is broke and the team is being kept alive with help from Major League Baseball.

Texas Rangers

Image: MLB

If the MLB didn’t step in to help, reports indicate that the Rangers would literally not have the money to pay its players. That’s could be quite a distraction — but obviously it isn’t at the moment.

With a win on Thursday, the Rangers have now won 11 games in a row. They have a 4.5-game lead in their division over the Los Angeles Angels and are favorites to make a rare trip to the postseason.

Their win Thursday came over the Pittsburgh Pirates. With two outs and two strikes in the bottom of the ninth inning, Vladimir Guerrero had the game-winning hit as the Rangers won 6-5.

Next up for the panhandling Rangers is a series against their intrastate rival Houston Astros.

Kentucky Dominates NBA Draft

Posted: 24 Jun 2010 08:24 PM PDT

Prior to Thursday night, Kentucky never had a player selected first overall. When the Washington Wizards picked John Wall, that changed. And Kentucky’s night was just beginning.

John Wall

Image: Reuters

In the first round, Kentucky had five players drafted (John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, Eric Bledsoe, Patrick Patterson and Daniel Orton) to set a new record. No team in the history of the NBA had five players go in the first round.

Outside of Kentucky, there were a few other highlights. Evan Turner, the do-everything guard out of Ohio State, went second overall to the Philadelphia 76ers. Athletic young bigman Derrick Favors was selected third by the New Jersey Nets. Favors entered the draft after one year at Georgia Tech.

The fourth pick was Wesley Johnson, who goes from Syracuse to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Sacramento Kings rounded out the top five by taking Cousins.

For people like myself who took a lot of time studying this draft, the night was actually somewhat boring. Expert mock drafters on sites like ESPN.com and DraftExpress.com left little suspense. But all in all, this draft ushered in a healthy amount of talent to the NBA and should produce a few stars.

Allman and The Allman Brothers Band continue to tour every year, however it’s not known when/if touring will resume after the transplant. Allman believes that he contracted Hepatitis C from a tattoo needle.

Allman has been married at least six times. His most famous marriage was to Cher from 1975 to 1979. He also dated and impregnanted Shannon Wilsey (who later became the porn star Savannah) when she was 16. Her pregnancy ended in miscarriage. Allman has several children, some of which are also musicians, and two grandchildren.

The Never Ending Tennis Match

Posted: 23 Jun 2010 08:56 PM PDT

Is this even real? At Wimbledon, John Isner and Nicolas Mahut having been playing tennis for ten hours and there has yet to be a winner. As it stands, the fifth set is 59-59. Thursday will mark Day 3 of this never ending tennis match.

How is this happening?

“He’s serving fantastic. I’m serving fantastic — that’s really all there is to it,” said Isner, who is from Tampa, Florida.

“Someone has to win,” said France’s Mahut, “so we’ll come back tomorrow and see who is going to win the match.”

No other tennis match has ever gone seven hours. This one is at ten hours and going! Both players have broken the record for aces in a match. By the time this match is over, there will be literally dozens of new records.

For any type of sports fan, watching the end of the never ending tennis match on Thursday is a must. Well, that’s assuming that it doesn’t extend into Friday . . .

Video: Landon Donovan's Goal Saves U.S.

Posted: 23 Jun 2010 08:55 PM PDT

Entering the World Cup game between the United States and Algeria, the good guys needed a win to advance to the next round. For the first 90 minutes, U.S. fans might as well spent the time banging their head against a wall. The U.S. had plenty of chances but kept on blowing it. With the game scoreless, it appeared as if the United States soccer team was headed to a failure of epic proportions.

Then it happened.

Landon Donovan scored a goal in the 91st minute to lift the U.S. to a 1-0 victory over Algeria. If the United States can make any noise in the knockout portion of the World Cup, Donovan’s goal may be looked upon as the most important in the history of United States soccer.

Earlier in the tournament against Slovenia, the U.S. had a goal unjustly disallowed. In this game against Algeria, it happened yet again. A goal that should have counted was disallowed after a phantom offsides call. Thankfully Donovan’s goal makes the latest ref mistake a distant memory.

On Saturday, the U.S. takes on Ghana in a winner-take-all matchup. Don’t look now but the United States soccer team is actually favored by many to advance.

Here’s a Landon Donovan video of his goal:

Kahlúa, the original coffee liquor, has teamed up with two of America’s favorite baristas to put a new spin on summer cocktails. Kim Kardashian Loves Football

Posted: 23 Jun 2010 05:09 PM PDT

Kim Kardashian apparently can’t get enough of the NFL. After breaking up with long-time boyfriend, New Orleans running back Reggie Bush, just two months ago, she’s now moved on to the Dallas Cowboys. Earlier this month, Kim was spotted with 26-year-old Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin.

The couple were reportedly getting cozy at Casa Vega in Sherman Oaks on June 6. "They sat in the back drinking margaritas," sources tell Us Weekly. "They are dating but she doesn't want to rush anything. Kim wants to date someone who gets her busy lifestyle."

At least Cowboys fans don’t need to worry about her jinxing the team (like Jessica Simpson with Tony Romo). Reggie won a Super Bowl while dating Kim.
