Celtics on the Brink of Another Title

Posted: 13 Jun 2010 08:59 PM PDT

The Boston Celtics defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 92-86 on Sunday to take a 3-2 lead in the NBA Finals. Though Kobe Bryant scored 38 for Lakers, it wasn’t enough. Paul Pierce tallied 27 points in his best game of the series, while Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo each had 18 for the Celtics. Boston is now on the brink of another NBA title.

Though some might accuse Kobe Bryant of not getting his teammates involved, he put on quite a show in the middle of the game. Bryant scores 23 straight points for the Lakers from the 4:23 point of the second quarter to 2:16 in the third. Unfortunately for Kobe and the Lakers, Boston actually expanded its lead during that time frame from just one point to 13.

In the final eight minutes of the ball game, Bryant scored just five points – all from the free throw line.

The Celtics will now look to close out the series and capture their 18th NBA championship with Game 6 tipping off in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.

Carmen Electra at the Carnival

Posted: 13 Jun 2010 08:31 PM PDT

Carmen Electra was just one of the many stars out for a good cause at the 21st annual A Time for Heroes Celebrity Picnic sponsored by Disney – a benefit for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Celebrities donate their time each year working the carnival games and booths to help raise funds for pediatric AIDS. In the past, Tom Cruise has been spotted in the dunk tank and Jack Nicholson has read to kids in the storytelling area (scary?!).

And though it was a philanthropic event, that didn’t stop Carmen Electra from looking hot. Sure, her body might not be as tight as her Baywatch days – but she looks damn good for 38. Thank God for braless sundresses.
