Tom Izzo Snubs Cavs, LeBron Gone?

Posted: 15 Jun 2010 08:41 PM PDT

The Cleveland Cavaliers and their fans got a double dose of bad news. Not only did Tom Izzo decide to snub the Cavs to stay at Michigan State, that decision may mean that LeBron James is leaning toward leaving Cleveland in free agency.

Izzo admitted to investigating whether or not LeBron was likely to stay. Since Izzo’s investigation didn’t go well, Cavs fans should be sure to hide the razor blades and take down the shower curtain rods. Coaching LeBron is the ultimate; no sane coach would turn down the opportunity.

LeBron James

Now where do the Cavs turn? Names that have been talked about include Byron Scott and Mike Woodson. Neither of those coaches is nearly as exciting as Tom Izzo.

The best move for the Cavs could be to wait for LeBron and have him help in the coaching search. If LeBron decides to leave, it makes more sense to go with a young coach to start the painful rebuilding process. But if LeBron stays, the Cavs have to go for a championship-ready coach.

As of right now, LeBron staying in Cleveland is looking less and less likely.

Lakers Destroy Celtics, Force Game 7

Posted: 15 Jun 2010 08:15 PM PDT

After dropping the last two contests, the Los Angeles Lakers walked into Game 6 with their season on the line. However, it didn’t take long for the Lakers to prove their dominance as L.A. beat Boston by a final score of 89-67. Kobe Bryant, as usual, led the way with 26 points and 11 rebounds.

Kobe Bryant - Ray AllenThe key for the Lakers is they had more than just Kobe producing. Pau Gasol, who had struggled in the last couple games, had 17 points, 13 rebounds, nine assists and three blocked shot. Ron Artest even got into the action, finishing with 15 points and six rebounds.

As for the Celtics, they lost more than just the game. Starting center Kendrick Perkins suffered what appeared to be a serious knee injury that likely will force him to miss Game 7. Ray Allen snapped out of his slump to score 19 points but none of his teammates had more than 13.

Game 7 is going to be a classic. The Celtics will give a better effort and the Lakers will feel more pressure. We are in store for a game that will be decided in the fourth quarter. While these Finals haven’t been to thrilling to date, don’t miss out the ultimate contest in the NBA — Game 7 of the NBA Finals.

Caught Without Makeup: Marisa Tomei

Posted: 15 Jun 2010 07:58 PM PDT

It’s always funny to catch the celebs without makeup. Marisa Tomei is a cutie and I never really think of her as wearing much makeup anyway. However, when she was caught wearing no makeup as she was leaving a West Hollywood restaurant last month, it wasn’t a pretty site.

She looks sad more than anything, but I also thought she’d look a little more “fresh” without makeup. I’m kind of disappointed, but maybe it’s just the glasses. What do you think? Would you mind waking up with a makeup-less Marisa?

Limit the Pounding
Many runners make the mistake of running too much. Whenever possible, runners should look to limit the impact on your joints. To do so, use non-impact exercise machines or do your cardio work in a pool.

Mix It Up
Running at different speeds helps all types of runners. You use different muscle groups when you go from jogging to sprinting. Work out all your muscles by mixing it up.

Use Weight-Resistance
Weight-resistance is definitely a common secret for successful runners. Try this: use ankle weights for an entire month while running. Once that month is over, you’ll feel like you are running on air.

Stay Organized
Each of your running sessions should be planned out, timed and recorded. Doing so allows you to track your progress and allows you to figure out a schedule that best allows you to flourish on your feet.
