Cavs Storm Back to Beat Celtics Posted: 01 May 2010 11:25 PM PDT Though the Boston Celtics looked dominant for most of the game, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers stormed back late to take Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series, 101-93. LeBron James, despite a sore elbow, tallied 35 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. James scored 12 points in the final quarter and hit a 3-pointer with 22 seconds left to put the game away. ![]() Image: Zuma Press The Celtics were led by 27 points and 12 assists from Rajon Rondo. Kevin Garnett also posted a double-double with 18 points and 10 boards. However, Boston was held to just 15 points in the fourth quarter. Celtics center Kendrick Perkins had his lip split open by Shaquille O’Neal in the first quarter. He received five stitches but came back in the game in the second.
