This third-generation American is of Chinese, Hawaiian and English descent. Kelly is very involved politically and encourages Asian Americans to get involved in the democratic process. She is also a big poker fan and has participated in the WSOP and World Poker Tour.

| Teixeira’s 3 Homers Lift Yankees Over Red Sox Posted: 08 May 2010 08:12 PM PDT Mark Teixeira joined elite company on Saturday – he and Lou Gehrig are now the only New York Yankees to hit three home runs in one game against the Boston Red Sox. Teixeira hit solo home runs in the fifth and seventh innings, then added a two-run homer far over the left field wall in the ninth. On the game, Teixeira and teammate Francisco Cervelli drove in five runs a piece as New York routed Boston 14-3.  Image: Zuma Press To say Teixeira has been slumping is an understatement. After struggling to start the season, he is batting .393 (11 for 28) over his last seven games to raise his average to .207 (23 for 111). “I don’t know why I have slow starts,” Teixeira said, “but I end up having good seasons.” Cervelli has been starting in place of injured Yankee catcher Jorge Posada, who is suffering from a strained calf. Cervelli had a big day on Saturday as he singled in a run that tied the score 3-all in the third, hit a two-run single in the fourth that put New York up 6-3 then capped a four-run eighth that made it 12-3.
