The sports gossip website is citing a source close to the Cleveland Cavaliers that Delonte West, who has always been quite odd, is having sex with Gloria James, the mom of LeBron James. While this could very well just be a rumor, if it were true it could help explain why LeBron James fizzled at the end of his NBA playoff run. Going into the playoffs, LeBron and the Cavs were once again favored to win it all. But the Cavs ran into the Boston Celtics in the second round and Cleveland fell apart. If they weren’t getting blown out at home, LeBron was authoring performances that made it look like he gave less than 100% of his effort. Gloria James gave birth to LeBron in 1984 at the age of 16. His father, Anthony McClelland, was in and out of jail and didn’t have a role in LeBron’s upbringing. If this story is true and Gloria James indeed is in a relationship with Delonte West, we are sure to hear much more. As for Delonte West, he has always been a character — and not always in a good way. In September of 2009, he was pulled over while riding a motorcycle and was found to be hiding three guns in a guitar case. He faces up to three years in prison for the weapon charges.
