While a lot of these people are students who are off for the summer, several other groups look for seasonal work as well. For example, educators who are off for the summer could look to make some extra cash. Retirees are also well represented during the summer months because many seasonal jobs are available that don't require a long-term commitment.
One place to look for work is at hotels or resorts. During summer months, a lot of people are vacationing. That means hotels and resorts need to hire extra people to accommodate. These jobs vary from reservationists to cleaning staff. Cruise ships also oftentimes hire seasonal workers. Like hotels, amusement parks and water parks need seasonal workers to fill in during the busy summer months. If you want a job where you are in control, consider starting your own lawn care business. You can charge people in your area to cut their grass and take care of their lawn. It’s not glamorous but you control your own schedule and rates. In the warm summer months, people are more open to paying for professional yard work rather than do it themselves. If you aren’t cut out for yard work, consider childcare. Daycare centers and summer school programs often need childcare workers in the summer months. With a summer job, you don’t need to be too picky. Just find a job that serves it’s purpose for you. | Bret Michaels Suffers Brain Hemorrhage Posted: 23 Apr 2010 08:51 PM PDT Bret Michaels was rushed to the hospital on Thursday night for a severe headache and doctors discovered bleeding at the base of his brain stem. The 47-year-old former Poison lead singer is in critical condition, according to PEOPLE.
Michaels, a diabetic, is currently a contestant on The Celebrity Apprentice and has appeared on other reality shows including VH1’s Rock of Love from 2007 to 2009.
